The Challenge
The client for this project approached TYME Furniture Studio with a vision for an extraordinary trophy room that would showcase his trophies from hunts around the world. Far beyond a furniture installation, this architectural interior required consideration of the complete space for an overall design that would encompass the room floor to ceiling, while meeting needs for custom display cases as well.

The Solution: Design & Techniques
TYME developed an architectural interior design for a Trophy Room that is completely paneled, integrating all aspects of the trim and unique shape of the room.

Floor to Ceiling Wall Paneling
The overall dimensions of the Trophy Room are 26’ by 33’ by 23’ tall, with a cathedral ceiling. Paneling was installed floor to ceiling on all four walls. To create a rich look, the paneling was crafted of mahogany with a deep red mahogany stain. Custom angled panels were produced to fit the angles of the cathedral ceiling. The ceiling itself is coffered with a special veneer pattern in the center.

Custom Integration Features
The Trophy Room features window trim which is fully integrated into the panel work, a custom feature that sets TYME’s work apart from ordinary paneling installation. The raised panels are actually cut to fit around the windows and the window trim becomes part of the panel frame for a harmonious continuation of the pattern.

A "Green" Room
All the raised panels used for this project are veneered, meaning that the entire room was created from a single tree versus harvesting the dozens of trees that would be required for solid wood construction. This serves two purposes: first, it is aligned with an environmental conservation theme for the room, and, secondly, it serves an aesthetic function in that the entire room features identically matched panels.
